Terms of service

The terms governing your use of SpeechSyn while you produce audiobooks. Our final terms are being finalised; until then, use of SpeechSyn is governed by the plain-English summary below, which we intend to honour in the final document.

What SpeechSyn is

A web product that runs voice tools for audiobook creators: Mic Test free in the browser, Studio (chapter QC, enhancement, mastering) running on our GPUs against prepaid credits, and (on the roadmap) Casting & Direction for per-character voice casting and sentence-by-sentence regenerate. You own the audio you record, the voices you cast, and the IPA pronunciation pins and presets you build.

Your account

One person per account. Keep your credentials secure. We will terminate accounts used for abuse, harassment, or content that violates law in your jurisdiction or ours.

Credits and refunds

Studio-mode credits are prepaid. Unused credits do not expire. Refund requests for unused balances are accepted within 30 days of purchase.

No warranty, no hidden fees

The service is provided as-is. We do not charge recurring fees; you only spend credits when you run Studio-mode jobs. Mic Test stays free.

Sentence-level training data

By default, sentence-level corrections you make in Studio or Casting & Direction (flags, regenerates, edits) are retained, stripped of anything that identifies you, and used to improve our shared models for audiobook creators. Opt out any time from Dashboard → Settings → Data & training. See the privacy policy for the full data-handling description.
